King James Only

What version of the Bible do you read?

This man lists: 7 common sense reasons why we should keep the KJV BIBLE in our churches

I want to know what you think about Bible versions. Is the King James the only God inspired version? Should we read other translations? Let me know.

KJV

Study and read other translations

Heard alot of preaching on the KJV being the closest translations from the Greek and Hebrew text and how we need to stay true to it, just like the video you posted but the only explanation I ever get is the NIV verson takes out the word blood in a oouple of verses. I do bible studies in the NIV (Beth Moore) and learn so much but I admit when I go back to my KJV, it doesn't read the same at all times just as when I go to other translations to study, there are times, I just don't see the verses cross reference as they are in the KJV and what I am studying the view point is lost in the translation process.

Our God is bigger than we conceive Him to be and salvation is for all men and He has POWER to work through any translation to reveal Himself to man !

I feel like the translation that is UNREAD is the worst one yet. I think if they are reading the Bible God will lead them to HIMSELF ! Whether its KJV OR ESV

thanks for your blog, its a blessing and very thought provoking ! Praying for your ministry at ETBC !

I often think to myself, do the people that truly believe this way, know the history of the KJV.

Do they know there are earlier translations, English ones also.

Do they know that all 47 scholars were of the church of england a church started by King Henry VIII, so he could anole (sp) his marriage, because his wife did not have a son.

I agree that when reading the KJV there is a beauty and poetry that can only be found in it because of the writting style.

But to say that God can only use the KJV is something we have to think hard about.
