John Piper talks about the Election




John Piper is one of the great preachers in America.
He makes some very controversial statements about Sarah Palin and this years election .

I do agree overall with his perspective. Where I add to some or disagree with some points are:

God's judgment. I don't totally agree that our sin consequence is absolutely "the judgment". There CAN be a lot more judgment. I know this personally and by reading scripture. God CAN let the sin be the only judgment but it is up to Him. Our sins can also bring judgment on our families and our nation etc.

Also, I dont agree to just let the chips fall in politics like he said. We've sat back long enough.

We should pray and do what God says. Sometimes that does mean letting the chips fall but it may mean a peaceful demonstration or a vote, or a letter to a Congressman and so on.

Do trust in God's sovereignty but also know that He uses you and me to do some of the things He does just like He did with people in the Bible. You CAN take political activism to an extreme. Always seek Gods guidance.
